Hands-On Robotics Workshop for Children of Coast Guard Personnel at Bogmalo

Qurious Mind, in collaboration with the Coast Guard Welfare and Wellness Centre, hosted an engaging Robotics Workshop on 6th June 2025 at their Centre in Chicolna, Bogmalo. The event welcomed 25 enthusiastic young participants, eager to dive into the world of robotics.

Guided by our expert mentor, Kalpak Nayak, the workshop offered a fun, hands-on introduction to robotics. Kids explored basic concepts in a relaxed, supportive setting, where learning felt more like play. Through interactive activities, they built their first simple robot and discovered how things move, react and work together.

The session encouraged curiosity, creativity and teamwork. Along the way, children developed important problem solving and critical thinking skills — foundations for any future innovator. They also had the chance to collaborate with other young minds, sparking friendships, teamwork and shared excitement for technology.

Workshops like these are a great way for children to learn while having fun—and for parents to see their kids take the first steps toward a future in STEM.
