Zimbabwe STEM Challenge
The future of education in Zimbabwe took a giant leap forward with the STEM Quest Challenge! This groundbreaking event, spanning 5 provences of Mashonaland West, Manicaland, Masvingo, Midlands and Bulawayo, culminating in the highly anticipated STEM Quest Challenge, organised at the Errymaple International School, Zvishavane, on 22 March 2025. This STEM education initiative to Zimbabwe was in collaboration with Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt Ltd from Goa – India, and ably supported by STEM Quest Lab and the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Zimbabwe. The event brought hands-on robotics experiences to young innovators, tech enthusiasts and future engineers. It provided an electrifying platform for students to explore, create, and compete in various STEM-based challenges.
A Thrilling STEM Experience Unfolded at Errymaple International School! Participants engaged in exciting competitions, including:

🢖 Robo Race: Witnessing high-speed robotics in action.
🢖 Bridge Building Competition: Engineering the strongest structures.
🢖 Robotics Construction Challenge; Creating and programming functional robots.
This event was more than just a competition, it was a movement to make STEM education accessible to every child, regardless of background.
Qurious Mind REACH: Expanding STEM Education in Africa
From Goa to Zimbabwe, Qurious Mind took its mission of quality robotics education to young minds across the globe. Partnering with STEM Quest Lab, the Institute of Entrepreneurs, Zimbabwe and incredible support from JCI Harare, this initiative reached students in five provinces, ensuring they received hands-on learning experiences. The initiative was led by Yogesh Kerkar and Manoj Jamsandekar, with robotics trainers Kalpak Nayak and Prabita Sawant Desai, and further supported by Venkatesh Babladi and Sanjay Chopra.
A major highlight of this mission was the Train-the-Trainer (T3) Program, held on 18 and 19 March 2025, which equipped educators with essential robotics teaching skills. Led by Flt Lt Manoj Jamsandekar (Retd) and robotics instructor Prabita Sawant Desai, this program ensured the sustainability of STEM education across the region.

The success of the initiative gained national recognition, featuring on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC). This extensive media coverage highlighted the transformative impact of STEM education in Zimbabwe, showcasing the enthusiasm of young learners and educators. It further inspired schools, institutions, and policymakers to promote robotics education, fostering a culture of innovation and technological advancement. The widespread recognition encouraged broader participation in future STEM initiatives, reinforcing the significance of hands-on learning experiences in shaping the next generation of problem-solvers and engineers.
